Progress of the School (2015-16)  
Session (2015-16) started on a positive note wherein our teachers were exposed to lot of Capacity Building Workshops in all the core subjects that were organized in D.A.V. Telangana Zone – Nodal Center, Safilguda, Secunderabad.
a) Induction Programme for Newly appointed staff
b) R.T.C. Training Workshops for Teachers in Social Sciences, Mathematics, Information Technology, English, Telugu, Hindi and Science.
c) N.I.I.T. Workshop on Digital Board usage for new teachers
d) Abacus Workshop by Memory Maths Academy
Kalabarahti Child Art Institute Aurangabad organized Calligraphy, Essay Writing and Drawing Competitions at National Level on 16th July 2015. Total 616 students took part in the events and bought many laurels to the school. Master J. SAI AKSHATH of class 3rd stood as National Topper in the Calligraphy event and bagged 20 grams silver medal. School was bestowed with Active School Award, Dronacharya Award and Active Teacher Award.
Gangaram – Grampanchayath organized haritha haram event in the Surrounding schools to spread Awareness on planting trees for curbing pollution and to encourage greenery in schools through staff and Students. Our students took active part in the event under the supervision of staff and executed the tasks perfectly. This occasion was graced by village Panchayat members and Sarpanch.
Ganesh Idol Making: 14-08-2015
In order to spread awareness among the students and parents to use Ganesh Idols made of clay only, rather using Plaster of Pairs, our students of Middle School and Secondary School took active part in preparing the idols. They organized a rally in the village under the Banner of Arya Yuva Samaj explaining the importance of using clay Idols and insisted the villagers to say No to Plaster of Pairs thus create Eco Friendly Environment.
Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam & Sports Day: 26-08-2015
Under the supervision of Telugu Department and Physical Education Trainer Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam & Sports Day was celebrated in a grand manner. Teachers explained the importance of the days and why it is celebrated, during the morning assembly. As a part of Co-curricular Activities various literary competitions were organized apart from Sports and Games. Middle & Secondary School students showed proactive participation in both the events.
Avantika: 07-08-2015
Avantika a group of contemporary artists and intellectuals organized Literary and Cultural Competitions for students of all age Groups. Our students enthusiastically took part in these events and proved their worth by bagging Gold Silver and Bronze Medals along with Merit Certificates to their Credit. School was bestowed with “AVANTHIKA SWARNIM SAMMAAM” Award.
International Equanimity Olympiad: Excellence in Humanity, Morality & Ethics: 07-09-2015
9th and 10th class students took part proactively in this Olympiad on the occasion of World Equanimity Day.
 Kumari. K. Srihitha of 10th class bagged Gold Medal with her Good performance.
Teacher’s Day Celebrations:
Teacher’s Day Celebration went on very well on 5th September. Students of 10th class observed Self Governing Day under the supervision of Teachers. They performed Gurupuja to the teachers and expressed their gratitude in a befitting manner.
Training of Higher Levels in Abacus was organized for students of all age groups. Shri. CH. Venkateshwar Rao Director of Memory Maths Academy trained our students and simultaneously conducted talent test. The best performers were awarded medals and mementos.
In the Dream Scholar League Maths & Spell Bee Olympiad, Baby. R. Akshaya of 2nd class got 6th rank in Spell Bee, Kumari. G.L. Rashmitha of 4th class bagged 4th rank in Spell Bee, Master V. Sumanth of 6th  class bagged 6th rank in Maths Olympiad & Master Y. Midhun Verma of 7th class bagged 6th rank in Spell Bee at National Level. Students were bestowed with Gift Packs consisting of valuable books worth 5000/- rupees towards their performances.
Ved Prachar Saptha – 27-10-2015
From 27th October to 4th November we celebrated Ved Prachar Saptha in our school. In this regard plethora of activities were organized for students belonging to all the four houses. Highly Vibrant positive atmosphere was created by students and staff with the chanting of Ved Mantras. Collage Competition was organized for Secondary School students on all the 4 Vedas Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda & Arharvaveda. Students gathered information from the scriptures and presented it in sensible manner. Havan was performed throughout the week.
World Student’s Day:
Entire students and staff celebrated World Students Day on 9th October 2015 with lot of zeal and enthusiasm paying salutations to the “Missile Man of India” Late. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Secondary school students expressed their views on the life, teachings and mission of the great visionary in Morning Assembly.
D.A.V. Cluster Meet at Vijayawada:
On 13th October, 31 students from Secondary Wing along with 2 Escorts took part in DAV Sports & Games (Cluster) meet organized at Vijayawada. Our students took part with great zeal, enthusiasm and bought laurels to the school. Kumari. Nomula of 10th standard won Gold Medal in high Jump for girls and got selected for Jammu and Kashmir. Our school’s Kabaddi (Girls) team also secured a birth to participate in Jammu and Kashmir National Events.
CBSE Evidence of Assessment: Mathematics (IX Class)
This year, as informed by C.B.S.E. our school has sent all the important relevant documents duly furnished in Mathematics subject as a part of Evidence of Assessment on 7thOctober. After evaluation C.B.S.E. has rated our school in Good category. (30/33)
Constitution Day: 26th November
On 26th November 2015 as per the instructions given by C.B.S.E. Board entire school celebrated Constitution Day in the Morning Assembly. Students of 10th class read out preamble of our Constitution. We had Pledge and National Anthem. Importance of the day was demonstrated by Social Subject Teacher. Students participated in Poster Making Competition.
Lead India 20-20:
National Youth Movement: (1st December – 3rd December) Sai Spurthi Institute of Technology Management organized 3 day Lead India 20-20 Workshop, for Students of 6th to 8th standard on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd December 2015. 210 students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm and learnt lot of important core values. By the end of third day were very confident and a completely changed lot.
Indian Talent Search Exam (Science): 2nd December
Students from 3rd to 10th class took part in Indian Talent Search Examination (Science) on 2nd December 2015. 
119 Students got selected for the Second round which will be organized on 5th February.
DAV Online Olympiad (Science)
On 17th of December 31 Students from 8th class took part in DAV online Olympiad (Science) and gained experience of how to go through online tests. On 22nd December 36 students of 8th class went through the same experiential learning.
Panchayat Yuva Khel Krida Abhiyan
On 15th and 16th December 8 students took part in PYKKA (Panchayat Yuva Khel Krida Abhiyan) organized by Khammam District Sports Association.
  • Master. J. Karthik got selected for 1500 meters running.
  • Master. T.V. Phani got selected for 100 meters running.
  • Kumari. T. Nomula got selected for High Jump and Long Jump.
  • Kumari. T. Sharmila got selected for 100 meters and 800 meters running.
These students represented at District Level on 21st and 22nd December.
Tennikoit District Level Tournament
On 18th December 8 students from our school took part in Tennikoit District Level Tournament (Selections) at Gangaram High School and bagged Second Place.
KBI Asian Karate Championship Hyderabad (2015-16):
On 29th December 4 students from our school under the age group of 14 took part in KBI Asian Karate Championship Hyderabad and bought laurels to the school.
  • Kumari. M. Sai Hemasree bagged Gold Medal in Individual Katta and Silver Medal in Team Katta and Bronze Medal in Kumate.
  • M. Sai Soumyasree bagged Silver Medal in Team Katta and Bronze Medal in individual Katta.
  • Master. G. Devarishi bagged Silver Medal in individual Katta and Bronze Medal in individual Kumate.
  • Kumari. S. Manaswini bagged Silver Medal in individual Katta and Bronze Medal in team Katta.
On 9th January 8 teachers from Kinder Garden :
On 9th January 8 teachers from Kinder Garden, Primary and Upper Primary Wing took part in Capacity Building workshop organized by DAV Nodal Center, Safilguda, Hyderabad and gained enriched learning experience in Science and Social Subjects.
